Yorkshire Pudding, also known as "pockets," is a dish that originated from, yip you guessed it, Yorkshire, England.

It is made from batter and served with a roast dinner such as Roast Beef or Roast Chicken with lots of gravy!

Having all my family come from Huddersfield in Yorkshire I know only too well what makes a great Yorkshire Pudding and its all down to the best Yorkshire Pudding Recipe featured here.

We had proper, home made, Yorkshire Puddings every Sunday, without fail with our Roast Beef or Chicken dinner - nowadays people tend to buy those horrid frozen Yorkshire Puds.

Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

 

Ingredients (Serves 4 - 6)

  • 225g Plain Flour

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt

  • 4 Eggs, Beaten

  • 300ml Milk

  • 4 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil for cooking

First make the batter for the Yorkshire Puddings - Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl, then add the eggs and half the milk and beat until it is.......
